The Tide Alerts™ Tide or Flood gauge is a solar powered ultrasonic sensor that sends range measurements to the Tide Alerts application using an integrated cellular modem. For tide measurements, the gauge is typically mounted on a piling, post, or walkway overhanging the water.
After the gauge is installed, it requires the additional purchase of a monthly Tide Alerts subscription that includes:
Data publishing – your station’s tide data displayed on the Tide Alerts app.
Services – real‑time tide readings and tidal forecasts for stations with valid tidal data. Forecasts are generally available after at least 35 days of valid data collection.
